Gut Feelings

“Gut Feelings” expresses an intuitive, immediate feeling with no rational justification.

The ceramic and glass pieces on display are the result of creation driven by spontaneity. During the exploration phase (of the various techniques and forms) I adopted a way of ‘doing’ based on ‘feeling’, in the present moment. The form or image arises, not from rational thought, but from instinctive movements.

Throughout the process I discovered that these movements and decisions came from a very deep inner place, from the guts, which led me to desire to see deeper, under the metaphorical skin, in the places inaccessible to the naked eye, of the body and being.
